There is an abundance of yoga on YouTube nowadays and still the availability of Trauma-Informed Yoga Practices online is lacking. Those of you who know me well know that I am super passionate about many things, two of them being: trauma recovery and yoga. Trauma Recovery and Yoga go hand in hand. Trauma involves implicit memory that is literally stored in the body, out of reach from the thinking or intellectual brain. To fully resolve trauma the body must be attended to. The practice of yoga is about love, compassion, patience and trust. When we explore the body with these qualities, in an effort to resolve both physical and emotional pain, we set the stage for profound healing beyond our wildest dreams.
I am so grateful to my clients for allowing me to embark on their healing journeys with them. I want to continue to make this work accessible outside of sessions, and for those who simply can’t make it in or don’t have the yoga or psychotherapy resources where they live. So……..
I started a Trauma-Focused Yoga YouTube Channel!
The channel will contain a myriad of practices from breathing and meditation practices, to yoga flows appropriate for all levels, and educational talks. Head on over to check out the eight videos available currently and let me know if you have any requests for what you’d like to see next.
The latest practice is a 30-minute Gentle & Trauma-Sensitive Yoga Sequence for Grounding and Upper Body Release.
Please “like,” subscribe and share with those you love if you’re so moved.
